Donna Bearden has been an Optus team member for four years as the Professional Services Manager. Her primary focus is customer service, making sure the calls are answered in a timely manner, the customers are satisfied with the support they received and resolution is provided in a timely manner. Donna ensures PSG case billing to our customers is informative and accurate along with managing the remote technical support team. Donna is married to her husband, Chris. She has two sons and a stepson, Jacob, Cody, and Will as well as 2 grandchildren, Shiloh and Kennison.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would they be and why?
My mom who passed away recently because I would LOVE to hear her voice and see her smile one more time.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I am not a big fan of ice cream, but if the mood hit for ice cream, I would want Black Walnut (do they even make that anymore?)
Share one piece of advice.
Before passing judgement, always hear both sides. As the quote goes, “There are 2 sides to every story and the truth usually lies in the middle.” Listen (don’t just hear) both sides, you often find that what seemed like the truth was a combination of stories told.
What was your first job?
Cashier at grocery store in Pocahontas, back in the days when the cashier actually had to press buttons on the cash register to key in the price…no scanning or self-check in those days.
What is your favorite thing about working at Optus?
My team, I have the privilege of managing the best team in the company, hands down!
