Moving Past Product End-of-Life

A term used with respect to a product supplied to customers, indicating that the product is in the end of its useful life (from the vendor's point of view), and a vendor stops marketing, selling, or rework sustaining it.

What does that mean to you?

  • No new licenses (Expansion issues, new features, bug fixes)
  • No manufacturer hardware or software
  • No manufacturer support (basically anything that you would get from the manufacturer)
  • Secondary market hardware availability
